Microdoublet

A small optical lens system consisting of two individual lens elements cemented or closely spaced together, designed to correct for chromatic and spherical aberrations. These compact doublets are often used in miniature optical devices, such as endoscopes or compact cameras. They provide improved image quality compared to a single lens of similar size.
