Equiconcave
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002060
Describing a lens that has two concave surfaces with equal radii of curvature. This lens type causes light rays to diverge, making it a negative lens. An equiconcave lens is often used to expand a beam of light or to correct for spherical aberration in other optical components.
