Mixed case

The use of both uppercase (capital) and lowercase letters within a piece of text, as is standard for writing sentences in English and many other languages. This contrasts with text set entirely in uppercase, known as all caps, or entirely in lowercase. The term originates from the physical arrangement of metal type in a compositor's case, where lowercase letters were stored in the lower case and capitals in the upper case.
