MLC
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003705
An abbreviation for Multi-Level Cell, a type of flash memory technology that stores more than one bit of information within each memory cell. By using multiple voltage levels to represent data, MLC memory achieves higher storage density and lower cost per bit compared to Single-Level Cell (SLC) memory. Industrial-grade MLC solid-state drives have lower endurance, typically rated for 1,000 to 10,000 write cycles per cell.
