Nip point

A hazardous area on machinery where two rotating parts, or one rotating part and a stationary object, come together to create a pinch or crushing hazard. These points can draw in body parts, clothing, or hair, leading to severe injuries. Safety guards and interlocks are commonly installed to protect workers from nip points.
