Off-gas

To release gaseous byproducts or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from a material, especially during manufacturing processes or after production. This emission can occur due to chemical reactions, heating, or the curing of substances like plastics, paints, or adhesives. Proper ventilation and filtration systems are often required to manage off-gassing in industrial environments.
