Blowing agent

A substance that produces a gaseous phase within a liquid or solid material, creating a cellular structure or foam. This process is used in the manufacturing of plastics, rubbers, and ceramics to reduce density, improve insulation properties, or create cushioning. Blowing agents can be physical, like nitrogen, or chemical, undergoing decomposition to release gas.
