Petahertz
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004240
A unit of frequency equal to one quadrillion (10¹⁵) hertz, symbolized as PHz. This frequency range corresponds to that of ultraviolet and X-ray radiation on the electromagnetic spectrum. While not used in conventional electronics, petahertz frequencies are relevant in advanced physics research, particularly in the study of electron motion within atoms using attosecond laser pulses.
