Petajoule

A unit of energy equal to one quadrillion (10¹⁵) joules, symbolized as PJ. It is used to measure very large quantities of energy consumption or production, such as a nation's annual energy use or the energy content of its fuel reserves. One petajoule is approximately the energy contained in 163,000 barrels of crude oil.
