A crude distillation unit, the primary processing facility in an oil refinery where crude oil is separated into different hydrocarbon fractions based on their boiling points. The crude oil is heated and vaporized, then enters a fractionating column where components condense at different levels. Products include gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil.
