Pincushion
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004321
A small, firm cushion used to hold pins and needles, keeping them organized and readily accessible during sewing or tailoring tasks. The fabric covering often contains abrasive material like emery powder to sharpen and clean pins as they are inserted. Pincushions prevent pins from scattering and reduce the risk of injury from loose sharp objects.
