Describing a fabric constructed using the simplest and most common weaving technique, where each weft yarn passes alternately over and under each warp yarn. This interlacing creates a strong, durable, and reversible fabric with a uniform surface. Examples of plain-woven fabrics include broadcloth, muslin, and taffeta.
