Refarming

The reallocation of radio frequency spectrum from one wireless technology or service to another. This process allows for more efficient use of limited spectrum resources, often driven by advancements in communication standards or changing consumer demands. For example, a frequency band previously used for 2G cellular service might be refarmed for 4G or 5G.
