Rejoint

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004769

To repair the external mortar joints in brickwork or masonry that have weathered or decayed over time. The process involves carefully cutting or raking out the old mortar to a specified depth, cleaning the joint of dust and debris, and then filling it with fresh mortar that is properly tooled to create a clean finish. This maintenance prevents water ingress and restores the structural integrity and appearance of the wall; the depth of the raked-out joint is typically at least twice the joint's width.
