Resistive

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004800

Relating to a type of touchscreen technology that detects input from pressure applied to its surface. A resistive screen consists of two flexible, conductive layers separated by a small air gap; pressing them together completes a circuit at a specific point. Because they respond to pressure from a finger, stylus, or gloved hand, these screens are frequently used in industrial control panels and point-of-sale systems.
