Ringhead
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004867
A woodworking cutting tool or assembly built as a circular head that houses several knives or blades arranged around it in a ring. Fitted to a machine spindle, it rotates so that all the knives cut in turn, and swapping the knives changes the profile it cuts. It differs from a solid one-piece cutter, because the knives are separate blades that can be replaced or resharpened.
