Sterling

A type of oriented strand board (OSB) sheathing, named after the Sterling Board brand originally produced in the United Kingdom. It is an engineered wood panel made from compressed layers of wood strands or flakes bonded together with adhesives, with the strands in the surface layers aligned parallel to the panel's long axis. Sterling board is used for roof decking, wall sheathing, and subflooring, and is classified by its load-bearing capacity and resistance to moisture.
