Software defined radio

A radio communication system where components traditionally implemented in hardware are instead executed using software on a personal computer or embedded system. Functions like modulation, demodulation, filtering, and mixing are performed by software, offering high flexibility to adapt to different radio protocols. The hardware for a software defined radio (SDR) primarily consists of an antenna and an analog-to-digital converter.
