Stick clip
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005655
A device consisting of a grasping mechanism attached to an extendable pole, used to place a rope into an out-of-reach anchor point. Primarily used in rock climbing for safety, it allows a climber to clip the first bolt on a route from the ground, preventing a ground fall. The head of the clip holds a carabiner open, which closes automatically once it is hooked onto a bolt hanger and the pole is pulled away.
