Supercharger

A mechanical air compressor that increases the density of air entering an internal combustion engine, thereby boosting its power output. It is driven directly by a belt or gear from the engine's crankshaft, providing instant boost without turbo lag. Common types include roots, twin-screw, and centrifugal superchargers.
