A non-SI unit of pressure, defined as 1/760 of a standard atmosphere, which is approximately equal to the pressure exerted by a column of mercury one millimeter high at 0 degrees Celsius. This unit is often used in vacuum technology and scientific research to measure low pressures. One torr is approximately 133.322 pascals, with the pascal being the SI unit of pressure.
