Turn signal

A flashing light on a vehicle that indicates a driver's intention to change lanes or make a turn. This system typically consists of amber lights located at the front, rear, and sometimes the sides of the vehicle. Operation is controlled by a stalk on the steering column, activating a flasher relay that causes the lights to blink at a standard rate of 60 to 120 flashes per minute.
