Turnsheet

A metal plate or section of track laid at a junction in a mine railway system, allowing tubs or wagons to be turned or transferred from one track to another. This device facilitates the redirection of rolling stock without requiring complex switching mechanisms. Turnsheets are common in older or less extensive underground rail networks.
