Undock
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006345
To separate a spacecraft from a docking port on another vehicle or a space station using its own propulsion. The latches of the docking mechanism are released, and small thruster firings then carry the spacecraft to a safe separation distance. It contrasts with unberthing, where a robotic arm grips the vehicle and moves it off a berthing port.
