A high-gloss finish applied to surfaces like floors, fabrics, or automotive paint that gives the appearance of being wet. This effect is achieved with clear, reflective coatings such as acrylics, polyurethanes, or specialized waxes that form a smooth, non-porous film. Floor finishes with this property are rated by their gloss level, measured in gloss units with a 60-degree glossmeter.
