Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006602
An older type of railway level crossing signal featuring a swinging or oscillating arm with a light, designed to warn road users of an approaching train. The arm moves back and forth, often accompanied by a bell, to attract attention. These signals were largely replaced by flashing light signals due to their limited visibility and mechanical complexity.
