Air stripping

A remediation technology used to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from contaminated groundwater or wastewater. The process involves passing the contaminated water through a packed tower or tray system while blowing air through it, causing the VOCs to transfer from the water to the air. The contaminated air may then require further treatment before release.
