Bareboat charter

A type of marine charter agreement where the charterer takes full possession and control of a vessel, assuming responsibility for its operation, maintenance, crewing, and insurance. Under this arrangement, the charterer is treated as the owner for the duration of the charter, bearing all operational risks and liabilities. The owner typically provides only the vessel itself, without crew or provisions.
