Interlocutory appeal

An appeal of a ruling made by a trial court while the litigation is still ongoing, before a final judgment has been rendered. This type of appeal addresses specific legal questions or procedural decisions that could affect the outcome of the case. Permission for an interlocutory appeal is granted only under specific circumstances, such as when the ruling involves a controlling question of law.
