Limit of insurance

The maximum amount an insurer will pay for covered losses under a specific insurance policy or for a particular type of claim. This limit can apply per occurrence, per person, or as an aggregate for the entire policy period. Exceeding this limit means the insured is responsible for the remaining costs.
