Naturally occurring substances

Materials or elements that exist in the environment without human intervention or modification. In insurance, these substances can sometimes be excluded from coverage under pollution liability policies if their presence is not due to a sudden and accidental release. Examples include radon gas, mold, or certain minerals found in soil and water.
