Particular average PA

A partial loss or damage to insured property in marine insurance that is borne solely by the owner of the property or their insurer, without contribution from other parties to the voyage. This contrasts with general average, where all parties with an interest in the voyage contribute to a loss incurred for the common safety. Particular average losses are typically covered under specific clauses in a marine cargo or hull policy.
