Protection classes

A grading system used by insurers to assess the fire protection capabilities of a specific geographic area, influencing property insurance rates. These classes consider factors such as the availability of fire departments, water supply, and emergency communication systems. The Insurance Services Office (ISO) assigns protection classes ranging from 1 (superior) to 10 (unprotected).
