Redhibitory defects

Hidden flaws or imperfections in a purchased item that render it unfit for its intended use or diminish its value to such an extent that the buyer would not have purchased it or would have paid a lower price. In some legal systems, these defects can lead to rescission of the sale or a reduction in the purchase price. This concept is relevant in product liability and warranty claims.
