Reinstatement premium

A charge levied by an insurer to restore the full limit of liability under a policy after a loss has reduced or exhausted that limit. This premium allows the insured to regain the original coverage amount for future losses within the same policy period. It is often calculated as a percentage of the original premium or the amount of coverage reinstated.
