Severability of exclusions

A policy provision stating that an exclusion applicable to one insured party does not necessarily apply to other insured parties under the same policy. This clause prevents the wrongful acts of one insured from voiding coverage for innocent co-insureds. It is particularly relevant in liability policies covering multiple individuals or entities.
