Triple excess coverage
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003753
A basis on which outside directorship liability coverage responds only after three prior protections are exhausted or unavailable: the outside entity's indemnification, the outside entity's directors and officers insurance, and the company's own indemnification of the director. It goes one step beyond double excess, under which the company's own indemnification is not a prior layer of recovery.
