Accelerated filer

A public company that meets specific criteria set by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), requiring it to file its periodic reports more quickly than other companies. To qualify, a company must have a public float of at least $75 million but less than $700 million, have been subject to SEC reporting requirements for at least 12 calendar months, and have filed at least one annual report. These companies must file their Form 10-K within 75 days and Form 10-Q within 40 days after the fiscal year or quarter end.
