Alibi witness

An individual who provides testimony or evidence to corroborate an accused person's claim of being in a different location at the time a crime was committed. This witness's statement supports the defense that the accused could not have perpetrated the offense. The credibility of an alibi witness is often scrutinized during trial proceedings.
