Anti-contact rule

A professional conduct rule prohibiting a lawyer from communicating directly with a person represented by another lawyer about the subject of the representation. This rule applies even if the represented person initiates the contact or consents to it. Its purpose is to protect represented parties from overreaching by opposing counsel.
