Antitrust laws

A collection of statutes, both federal and state, aimed at preventing monopolies and promoting fair competition in the marketplace. These laws prohibit practices such as price-fixing, market allocation, and certain mergers that substantially lessen competition. The primary federal antitrust laws include the Sherman Act, the Clayton Act, and the Federal Trade Commission Act.
