Exclusive dealing arrangement

An agreement between a supplier and a buyer where the buyer commits to purchasing all or most of its requirements for a particular product or service exclusively from that supplier. Such arrangements can raise antitrust concerns if they substantially lessen competition in a relevant market. The legality of these agreements is often assessed under Section 3 of the Clayton Act.
