Bequeath

To give personal property to a person or entity through the terms of a will. The gift itself is known as a bequest or a legacy. Historically, 'bequeath' applied only to personal property, while 'devise' was used for the transfer of real property, although modern statutes and courts now use the terms interchangeably.
