Blind trust

An arrangement in which the assets of an individual are managed by an independent trustee without the owner's knowledge of the specific holdings or transactions. This structure is often used by public officials to avoid conflicts of interest between their private financial interests and their public duties. The trustee has full discretion over investment decisions.
