Cosigner

An individual who signs a loan or other financial agreement alongside the primary borrower, thereby guaranteeing the debt. This person assumes equal legal responsibility for repayment if the primary borrower fails to meet their obligations. Cosigners are often required when the primary borrower has insufficient credit history or income.
