To remedy a defect, default, or breach of contract or law, bringing the situation into compliance with legal requirements or contractual terms. This action aims to prevent further negative consequences or to restore the original state of affairs. In contract law, a party in breach may have a right to cure within a specified period before the other party can terminate the agreement.
