Daubert standard

A legal standard for the admissibility of expert witness testimony in federal courts, established by the Supreme Court in Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, Inc. It requires judges to act as gatekeepers, assessing the scientific validity and relevance of expert testimony. This standard replaced the Frye standard in federal courts and many state courts.
