Dodd-Frank: Title I - Financial Stability

The section of the Dodd-Frank Act focused on promoting the financial stability of the United States by improving accountability and transparency in the financial system. It established the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) to identify and respond to risks to financial stability. This title also created the Office of Financial Research to support the FSOC's work.
