Domestic violence

A pattern of abusive behavior by one partner against another in an intimate relationship, or by one family member against another. This can include physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological actions or threats of actions that influence another person. Laws against domestic violence aim to protect victims and provide legal remedies, such as restraining orders.
