Domicile

The legal home of a person, which is the place where they have their true, fixed, and permanent home and principal establishment, and to which, whenever they are absent, they have the intention of returning. A person can have only one domicile at a time, which is distinct from mere residence. Domicile determines legal rights and obligations, such as jurisdiction for lawsuits and taxation.
